I started climbing back in the 80’s on the West Coast, first in California and later in the Pacific Northwest. When I arrived in the Quebec City area in 1998 I joined the small but active climbing community. Together with many friends, I’ve participated in many projects, opening routes and climbing areas and just having a great time generally. My first guidebook on rakkup is for the Lac Long, a beautiful cliff next to a lake that offers great climbing on excellent Canadian Shield rock. Route development is hard work, but it’s also a creative process that makes us richer, both personally and as a community. Let’s all do our part in keeping our sport GREAT by donating our time, respecting access conditions and helping our brothers and sisters go CLIMBING. Thanks and here’s to hoping our paths will cross!
